The doctor will usually write your PD on the prescription while you undergo a
vision test. Generally, you will get 2 different PD values. One of them is
your basic PD which is the distance in mm between the centers of the pupils.
Use this value on the prescription section while ordering your glasses.
Method by using Scale
PD measures the distance between your pupils and is a key component in
ensuring that your lenses are positioned directly in front of your pupils
to guarantee perfect vision correction.
- Position the ruler on the bridge of your nose as illustrated in the
image
- Adjust the position of the ruler such that the "0 mm" mark is
directly above one of your pupils.
- This is your PD (If you have someone to help you measure your PD,
please ensure that you are both at the same eye level)
Method by Using a Card
you can take a picture with a credit card or any card that is the size of
a credit card.
- Place the card on your forehead.
- Ask someone to take a picture of you with the card.
- Upload this photo to the section below
- We will measure the PD and apply it to your new glasses.
